about the project
A study on balance between material presence and structural lightness.
This table explores the contrast between a solid marble top and an almost immaterial metal base, creating a suspended and refined composition.
The project develops around an elongated oval geometry, designed to soften the perception of volume while maintaining a strong visual identity.
The Azul Macaubas marble becomes the protagonist, with its natural veining guiding the composition and giving each piece a unique character.
The base, defined by a sequence of thin vertical metal rods, works as a permeable structure that reduces the visual weight of the stone, allowing light to pass through and generate changing shadows.
The relationship between top and base is conceived to enhance both elements: the mass of the marble and the rhythm of the supporting structure.
The result is a table that combines sculptural presence with a sense of lightness, suitable for both residential and refined retail environments.
A solid surface that appears to float, where material weight is balanced by structural transparency.
